Claude for Small Business is Anthropic's package of connectors and ready-to-run workflows for small companies. It launched in May 2026, is available on every paid Claude plan, and works across tools such as QuickBooks, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Every workflow starts in approval mode, so Claude asks before it acts.
Claude can also use connectors you add yourself. That is how a service business connects Claude to the place its calls, customers, estimates, and invoices live.
This guide covers what Claude for Small Business includes, how Claude connectors work, how to connect Claude to InvoicifyAI, and what to check before you give Claude access to business data. InvoicifyAI is not part of Anthropic's package. It connects to Claude as a custom connector.

What Is Claude for Small Business?
Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business on May 13, 2026 as a package of connectors and ready-to-run workflows that runs in Claude Cowork. It started with 15 workflows and 15 skills. A September 2026 update raised that to 43 workflows and added 27 integrations, including Shopify, Salesforce, Xero, Gusto, Square, Stripe, and Zapier.
| Claude for Small Business | |
|---|---|
| What it is | Connectors plus ready-to-run workflows and skills |
| Where it runs | Claude Cowork |
| Launch partners | QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 |
| Plans | Every paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise). Anthropic recommends Team for businesses with more than one person |

| Safety default | Every workflow starts in approval mode. You approve before anything sends, posts, or pays |
| How to install | In Claude, Customize, then Plugins, then Discover, then Small Business, then Add |
The package centers on the back office of a general small business: bookkeeping, payments, CRM, documents, and email. A trades or clinic business also needs its phone calls, service requests, estimates, and invoices in the picture, which is where a connected service-business workspace comes in.
Claude Connectors: Directory vs Custom
A Claude connector links Claude to another piece of software, usually through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). There are two kinds:
- Directory connectors are pre-built listings you add from Claude's connector directory.
- Custom connectors are any remote MCP server you add by URL. Anthropic notes that custom connectors have not been verified by Anthropic, so you are trusting the company that runs the server.
Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. The Free plan is limited to one. On Pro and Max, you add one from Customize, then Connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an organization owner adds the connector first in Organization settings, then each member connects their own account.
Admins can also set each tool to always allowed, needs approval, or blocked.
How to Connect Claude to InvoicifyAI
InvoicifyAI connects to Claude as a custom connector today. It works on every Claude plan, and any InvoicifyAI plan works, including the trial. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds InvoicifyAI in Organization settings first, then each member connects their own account with the steps below.
- Open the setup in InvoicifyAI: Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Claude, and follow the steps shown there.
- Add a custom connector in Claude: Open Customize, then Connectors (some versions show this under Settings), choose Add, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the connection URL: Use the URL from your InvoicifyAI settings. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty and choose Connect.
- Sign in and approve: Sign in to InvoicifyAI, check the company and the permissions Claude is asking for, then choose Authorize.
- Start with a read-only question: Ask "What is my receivables summary?" to confirm the connection before you ask Claude to draft anything.
On the Free plan, you can add one custom connector. Turn it on from the tools menu in your chat.
6 Jobs Claude Can Do With Your Business Records
Once connected, Claude answers from your InvoicifyAI workspace instead of from whatever you paste in.
1. Review yesterday's calls
"Summarize yesterday's receptionist calls and list anyone who asked for a callback." Claude reads the call summaries and transcripts from your AI Receptionist and outbound agents.
2. Find the money you are owed
"Which invoices are more than 30 days overdue, and which customers have more than one?" Claude reads your receivables and open invoices.
3. Prepare a quote from your notes
"Prepare an estimate for the Nguyen deck repair from these notes." Claude finds the customer, asks for any price or quantity your notes leave out, and prepares an unsent estimate draft. Emailing it is a separate permission, and InvoicifyAI instructs Claude to confirm with you first.
4. Get ready for a customer call
"What's our history with Lakeside Physio?" pulls open invoices, recent estimates, and CRM activity into one answer.
5. Plan tomorrow
"What service requests came in today, and what appointments are booked tomorrow?" Claude reads your requests and stored schedule. It does not book or move appointments.
6. Make a call without picking up the phone
"Have Call for Me call the tile supplier and ask if the 12x24 porcelain is back in stock." Claude creates a Call for Me request. InvoicifyAI's AI agent calls from your company's InvoicifyAI number, uses your company's included AI voice minutes (then your plan's overage rate in a paid cycle), and reports back. Read AI Phone Calls for Business for the calls this suits best.
Is Claude Safe for Business Data?
Claude can be a safe place to work with business data if you check two layers: Claude's own data terms, and the connector you add.
What Anthropic says about data:
- On consumer plans, data used to improve Claude does not include raw content from connectors, including remote MCP servers. Content you paste into the chat yourself is treated differently.
- On Team and Enterprise plans, Anthropic says it does not train on your business data by default.
- Claude for Small Business workflows start in approval mode, and admins can set tools to needs approval or blocked.
What to check about any connector:
- What it can read, and whether access follows your role in the software.
- What it can change, and whether sending or recording payments needs a separate permission.
- Whether data is limited to your company.
- Whether you can disconnect it at any time.
How the InvoicifyAI connector answers:
- Sign-in consent. OAuth sign-in with no API key to copy around.
- Grouped permissions. You approve access by area, such as Customers and CRM, Sales and payments, and Documents and calls.
- Your role applies. Viewers can only read. Changes need at least a Member role.
- One company only. Each connection reaches a single company's records.
- Separate permissions for sending and payments. Preparing a draft, emailing it, and recording a payment received are different permissions. Confirmation before sending is an instruction to the AI, so set those tools to needs approval in Claude.
- Safe retries. Each change carries an idempotency key. Retrying with the same key and the same details returns the original result instead of creating a duplicate.
- A record. Every change it makes is recorded against your user account.
- Disconnect anytime. Access ends right away. Changes already made stay, and calls already scheduled with Call for Me still go ahead until you cancel them.
The InvoicifyAI connector cannot charge cards, create payment links, send texts, or book appointments.
Claude or ChatGPT?
Both can connect to the same InvoicifyAI workspace, so you do not have to choose for your data. Choose for your team: if your business already lives in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and you want Anthropic's ready-made small-business workflows, Claude for Small Business is a strong fit. If your team already uses ChatGPT every day, read ChatGPT for Small Business.
How InvoicifyAI Fits
InvoicifyAI is the workspace where a service business answers calls, tracks customers, sends estimates and invoices, and follows up. Connecting it to Claude adds the parts a service business runs on: call summaries, service requests, estimates, invoices, and Call for Me.
The ChatGPT and Claude connection is included on every InvoicifyAI plan.
Want Claude to answer from your real records? Start a 7-day trial with a card, then add InvoicifyAI as a custom connector from the Claude setup page. You will not be charged for the subscription until the trial ends.
Claude is a product of Anthropic. InvoicifyAI is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.

Claude for Small Business is Anthropic's package of connectors, workflows, and skills for small companies. It launched in May 2026, runs in Claude Cowork, and works with tools such as QuickBooks, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Every workflow starts in approval mode.
How much does Claude for Small Business cost?
Anthropic does not list a separate price. Claude for Small Business is available on every paid Claude plan, including Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. Anthropic recommends a Team plan for businesses with more than one person.
Which Claude plans support custom connectors?
Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. The Free plan is limited to one. On Team and Enterprise, an organization owner adds the connector before members can connect.
Is Claude safe for business use?
Claude can be used safely for business work if you check its data terms and every connector you add. Anthropic says raw connector content is not used to improve models on consumer plans, and it does not train on Team or Enterprise business data by default. Check what each connector can read and change, and whether you can disconnect it.
Does Claude for Small Business work with QuickBooks?
Yes. QuickBooks was one of the launch partners for Claude for Small Business, alongside PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
Can Claude connect to my CRM and invoicing software?
Yes, if the software offers a Claude connector or an MCP server. InvoicifyAI connects as a custom connector, so Claude can read your customers, invoices, estimates, and calls, and prepare drafts within the permissions you approve.
Can Claude make phone calls for my business?
Not on its own. With the InvoicifyAI connector, Claude can create a Call for Me request, and InvoicifyAI's AI agent places the call from your company's InvoicifyAI number to US and Canada numbers and reports back with the answers.
